Does anyone know if the large style right side air scoops like the Ilmberger one will clear the header on a Micron pipe? Looks like a great pipe but it would be a shame to lose the extra cooling.

Yeah, that is a good question. If I can figure out this jacking up the bike thing and the wrong color...I might have to pick up one of these pipes, and definitely the scoop. TTT

I know the American Sport Bike right side scoop will NOT fit with a Micron.

Thanks Al. Really looking forward to your exhaust shootout. If the Drummer SS performs as well as their dyno runs show it'll be a great option so one can still use a right side scoop for extra cooling.

None of the aftermarket scoops will fit with the Micron pipe without some work.

I fitted one to our Uly Supermoto project but had to cut the bottom of the scoop out, remake a new base from aluminium heat shield and remould the base again. This is in glassfibre. If anyone wants to buy it to work with a Micron make me an offer I can't refuse : ) I also have the custom made 3mm aluminium bash plate for sale that bolts straight up to the Micron mounts.

I want it. I'll be getting a Micron and wanted to get the scoop, also. Please email me:

I've purchased from you before so I am sure we'll arrive at a good deal for both of us

Thanks,

Are any of the right hand air scoops plastic?

No, not plastic. Some are Fibreglass. A plastic one would end up looking like a Salvador Dali sculpture in no time : )

Chris, you have mail.
