Here is a article I found on how to change the backlight color of your gauges. I havnt opened mine up yet, but i might here if the weather stays cold. Thought others might find it interesting.

I'll save you some time. The Buell's gauges are NOT backlit with LED's. They use regular bulbs. Yes, they are small, but there are incandescent bulbs.

I had Scott at BlueGauges.com change the backlighting on my '03 Gixxer and my wife's '04 636. Infact, if you go to his site and check out the Ninja with the blue/white/red fade, that's my wife's.

Scott confirmed with me that Buell gauges are not LED. You could probably change the little lights to some other color, but it wouldn't have the clarity of the LED backlighting.
