I was wondering if anyone has bought a pair of the Buell Boots from that cat on ebay? Mine arrived this week and I was surprised as hell with the quality. First impressions are good. I haven't been able to ride with them yet but they are comfortable and a decent deal. $80CAD delivered to my door.

I'm not very impressed with mine. However, they were cheap.

I have a set and I like them. They broke in quickly and are very comfortable.

I bought them on ebay, great service, great price. while I am not looking for, nor was I expecting, a race boot, I was expecting a boot with more ankle protection then the Herman Survivors Commander boot that I ride in now.
The Buell boots were well manufactured but had no more protection than a single layer of leather anywhere, so I returned them.
To sum it up, nice inexpensive boot, just know what you are getting 1st and order a full size smaller as they run large.

I have to agree, they do not compare to a decent pair of race boots, and I found myself questioning the ankle armour, or lack of. That said, I think they are a decent compromise to higher end diadora or sidi's. For a standard boot, they seem OK.

I ordered a set from the guy off of ebay also, they just came in today. A friend of mine has had a pair for a year and he really liked them. I bought them as a riding boot not for track days or racing. Just something to add some protection that looks good if I make a quick stop somewhere.

There offer better protection then just wearing shoes, kind of the in between from pure racing boot to shoes with laces.

YIKES-I won't be showing my wife this post-she bought me a pair for my birthday from the local H-D/Buell shop and they were like 140 bucks US.

That said, they are a comfortable boot that I can wear to the office all day. I would agree that they are not race boot-they offer an adequate level of protection for everyday riding to work or having a little fun!

Do a search on ebay looking for 'buell boots'. He has all kinds in varying sizes. The 'buy now' price is $59.99, and the auction starts at $49.99. I just emailed him and offered him $50 + shipping (which turned out to be $20). I got mine for $70 delivered to eastern Canada....and avoided the whole auction thing.
As for fitment, I take a size 10, so I ordered a 9.5, and they fit pretty good.

I bought a pair when they first came out.
Nice comfortable boots for street riding.
As far as protection goes, they protect.
After testing mine, nowhere was the leather worn all the way through. The pavement ate the seam, so the leather has separated, I'm hoping it's fixable.
These are good boots.

What's up Dan?
And I just paid $200CDN for a pair of Alpinestars at Sackville Motorsports!...ah well...they're quite nice actually. We'll have to compare boots on the next warm riding day...see who got the better deal.

Hey Ryan, I was in Ottawa last month and almost bought a pair of teknic defenders. Supposedly waterproof, with all kinds of armour throughout. They had the size under and the size above what I needed. The price was 3 browns I think.
The buell boots do not have any armour, are probably not water proof (water resistant I would say), but overall, a decent buy. I'll use the money I saved and buy the race ECM and filter to compliment the drummer!
Come on spring!!

Yah, I got a message from Jon yesterday about the meeting on the 25th March. I've marked it on my calender.
I think Jon is going top fix me up this week with a race ecm. My bike has to go to the shop. Remember when I told you about the bike quitting on me, well it did it again last week, so the boys are coming to pick it up this week to have a look at it....no cost to me and it will be covered under warranty. I'll have the ecm and TPS reset done then...that and a new tire I'll be set for the spring.
YGM about the filter.
