Over at the XB9/V-rod thread I said I wanted a V-rod with midsets. Now I have sat on V-rod + XB9S. After wiping the Drool off the XB9S, (IT FITS!, IT FITS!) I have to wait till spring & save up for the XB12S/T. Sure, they can make a Sportster with this engine. Gas tank under seat, Fake Dirt track tank/airbox, Rubber mounts, and keep the looks with a 20-30% power loss (mostly tune & pipes). Can they make a tourer XB? Sure! make the Airbox part fuel tank & run airbox volume up into the fairing. Leave the wheelbase alone & add passenger seatroom, to make a worthy successor to the S3.
