Is the front seat on the XB R and S models the same? Can I swap one for another, regardless if it came from a 9 or 12? I know there are different seat designs but is the mounting bracket the same - can they all fit on any XB model?
I'd like to lower the seat height on my 9R. I have a Custom seat on the bike now, and I understand it's a bit taller than a stock seat. I bought it used and it came with the Custom seat. Aren't there S models that have a really low seat?

Between the R and S seats, no. Different mounting setups.

Something you could do it swap out your R rear end with an S rear end for the S seats.

Yup if you want to put an S seat on your R then you will need to give Dave S a call and put up some $$$$$$$$$$$$$.
