Just a simple question. I know we you start the bike you don’t blip as it will fowl the plugs. My question is once I have been riding and the bike is warmed up properly, can I blip when at idle or will this still fowl the plugs? | ||

To what I have herd, Bliping the throttle on a properly warmed up engine "in moderation" shouldn't foul out the plugs. However almost any engine if a person was to go hog wild with blipping the throttle you can foul them out. If ya give it some thought,,, when ya stab the gas the mix is richer,, do it alot and it loads up with carbon from poorly burned fuel causing the fouled plugs... But hey that is my 2 cents.  | ||

A little blipping going through the gears frees the clutch plates up on some of the older sportys and evos. Don't know if it works for the Buell. But it does scare the hell outta the blue hairs... Stretch | ||

Blipping when warmed up will not foul the plugs. I do it all the time when down shifting. | ||

I don't know, but I like the word "Blip" With that, I must say I "blip" as well. some times when I blip and its warm, it will fart on me.. any idea what that is? (only on idle) And will that change when I get my K&N, R-ECM, and Drummer? | ||

I constantly blip when down shifting. My understanding has always been that you blip the throttle to speed up the engine for a smooth down shift. Besides, with the D&D, blipping sounds awesome!  I don't know why else you would really want to blip. Maybe just to speed the engine up before you get going. | ||

chalk up another 'blipper' on downshift, i do it all the time. never when cold or from idle though, only to smooth downshifts | ||

i put on a special ops and k/n filter... then started it up (being cold outside) and threw in a blip because i knew no better... no my bike dosent run. lol |
