okay, all done, threw a small primer on it.. still needs the primer to be sanded.. but powdercoat next.. but its pretty much done.. :-)
Oh yeah, forgot, anyone know where I can get powdercoat done? Tim? Anyone else? Thanks

Don't bother spraying it with anything else. It has to get stripped down to bare metal to powder coat it.

there is a place in hubbard that does powder coating if i remember right. ive never gotten anything powder coated but know some people that have gone there. think they still do powder coating.

oh, and when u post your pics, hit return after each pic and post them under eachother then the screen wont get so wide. could do it in the editing for those other couple posts if ya wanted

I would guess he probably primed it to check the aesthetics with a uniform color.
Kind of like painting repaired body panels black to see how straight they are.

I will do that next time, can't change them now, it won't let me. but thanks though.
For the paint, primer whatever, I did it to see how good it lined up. kinda hard to tell when it is all scratched up.
And Tim, In Hubbard, what's the name of the place?

its central iowa powder coating. 641-864-2829. its right on hwy 65. just looked at some stuff at work today that they had done and it wasnt to bad. think the price is usually fair too.

Anyone happen to have a stock tail section on know where I can get one cheap? I'd like to do some practice custom work on mine but I'd rather have an extra tail around just in case I screw up. The powdercoating isn't an issue. There's a large powdercoat paint system at the bottom of the stairs from my office at work. I happen to know the hang-on and take-off people.....
