Go in to the sponsers section and send a pm to Daves and Al_Lighton. Daves is at Appleton HD and Buell and Al is at American Sport Bike. Those were the guys that got the direct link project going, so I'm sure they have maps of every possible set up you could have including the stock configuration.

A few updates on this.

Brian got the SW from Technoresearch, not American Sport Bike, as I have not released it for public sale yet because:
1) I knew of bugs that I deemed made the SW not ready for release, and
2) My tuning guide detailed instructions on how to use the SW that I will include with the SW when we sell it wasn't yet completed pending resolution of those bugs. Others, including Technorearch, have already been selling it for a while. But I'd rather lose a sale than generate pissed off customers or generate bad press for the product.

We will release the SW Monday morning when the new version is uploaded on the Technoresearch site. There are some minor fixes that Sandro assures me are getting incorporated this weekend, and with those fixes in, I consider it ready. It has taken longer than I wanted it to, but bugs are bugs, and better right than early. There will continue to be bug fixes and product improvements that you'll be able to download later. But hopefully these are minor bugs, not relatively major ones like the ones that we've been fighting with up until now.

One of the fixes addresses the problem that Brian had. The SW will read the ECM ONCE, and then the key is locked to the ECM. After that, the SW won't read that ECM again, but it can upload to that ECM as many times as you want. The bug that Brian found has to do with when it does the Key lock. It will, as of Monday AM, only lock the key AFTER it confirms that the computer has saved the file to the hard drive. In Brian's case, the computer crashed prior to the save being completed.

Brian has been taken care of. Technoresearch, Dave, nor I, have legal rights to be sending around the stock Buell maps around, as they are copyrighted by Buell. No damage occurred to Brian's ECM, and a restored key enables him to re-read his map correctly. This problem shouldn't be a recurring one based on the fix being implemented.

As a general note, it is usually a good idea to contact the vendor that sold you something to get fixed prior to going onto a public forum. I don't mind when folks go to a forum that I participate in when there is an issue with a transaction, as it gives me a public place to make customers happy. But I'd rather such things be fixed behind the scenes, and I do fear someone going public where I don't hang without getting a chance to make it right in private. Brian's post was innocent enough, but the very best way to solve such things is to contact the vendor that he purchased the SW from, which is in fact, exactly what he did in parallel with contacting me.

Alls well that ends well.
