I currently own an SV650 but will later be upgrading to a Firebolt by the end of the year. There's not one Firebolt on the island and was wondering about the front lights. Do both light up in high beam? But until then I'm playin around my SV. Has anyone got a circuit diagram as I am getting hold on a front XB9r fairing to bolt to my SV and wanna know how to connect the thing. Does it use H7 bulbs?

You have to wire the lights to stay on together and it uses H-3 bulbs

So you're saying you never have the two lights on?
H3 bulbs don't come dual filament do they?
Have you got the wiring diagram maybe?

I could swear that both my lights are on in high beam.
I think it is the lightning that only lights the one in high.

So I must get my hands on a circuit diagram of a firebolt to see how high beam switches on both lights. Can anyone help with this?

They tell me there are similarities between the two (SV & XB) being twins. I would'nt know there is only one Buell on the island (I live in Malta, Europe)and its a lightning, nothing near an XB9. I like the XB9R for its looks and technology while still remaining pure motorcycle without all the plastics. But the SV is a great little bike and if I can I'll keep her as well. Hope the missus won't be reading this : )

I test-rode an SV1000S after I had test-ridden a Firebolt, but prior to buying my Firebolt. The SV was a nice bike--but the Firebolt was more fun!

Oh, and both headlights are on when I switch on the high beam--2003 XB9R.

The one light syndrome is found on the Lightning. On my 9R both lights are on when using the high beam. Only the low beam is on when switched to low.

Why? The bolt has both on for high and the Lightning only one?

Lightning must have hit the lightnings and knocked them down to one light. : ) Really, I wish both lights on my X would light up.

I just traded my SV650 in for My Lightning. I really liked my SV, but I wanted something different. Now if if would only stop snowing long enough for me to go ride...

I must be lucky, all of my friends who ride (mostly gsxr 1000's and Busa's) where psyched when I told them I was getting a Buell. Then again all of us just love motorcycles and it doesn't matter to much on the brand.
