My bike has been down for about six weeks now. When I turn the key, the headlight, guages, and brake lights would come on. When I turn the kill switch on, no buzzing. Press the start button and nothing.

So I start tearing into all the electrics (wires, fuses, relays, etc.) and testing everything out. I was working through a diagram in the service manual that referred to testing terminal 86. I couldn't find it anywhere in the manual. I spoke to Al from American Sport Bike last night and he helped me locate it. It is one of the terminals on the starter realy, if I remember correctly.

Anyway, I tested everything (wires, switches, relays, fuses) and it's all perfect. I decide to try and jump the bike and it starts right up. Never thought it was the battery because the headlights and everything else came on. Guess it didn't have enough juice to get the fuel pump going.

Just wanted to share in case anyone else runs across the same issue.
