anyone have an LED kit for their xb... just to light up the motor and stuff. I found this one on ebay that is remote controlled, has 15 different colors and such. Seems like it would look sorta neat at night. Just wondering if anyone has pics of their bikes at night with an led light kit.

you have to be carefull witch lites you get. some of them have a big transformer with them. they can get pretty hard to fit them under your seat. i went to auto zone and advanced auto parts and bout my leds. you have to get pretty creative to hide them on the s models. i will take some pics when i get a chance to show what i have done. i have 6 blue led's and 2 neon tubes and 2 led strobes.

I know a few with City X's on here added lighting to their bikes. Could run a search for them. I plan to do that to my City X sometime down the road.

i didn't really keep track how much i spent. but advanced auto parts has some led's in a pack of 3 that are really bright. i think they were like $12. i mounted 2 in my right side air dam. and they light up my motor really well. they also have other styles of leds that fit better in other spots. you just have to look at them and figure out were they fit best. it also helps to do it at night. so you can see how the light shines.

I have Blue's under my air box right now. I also bought some green to go with them. Advance has the set of 6, which are about the size of quarters for each light, but they are BRIGHT. Air box is off right now being painted.

i put a power strip on my bike. you can buy them at radio shack. it hooks to the battery and has several terminals on it. all you have to do is run a positive and a ground from the light and hook it up to a terminal on the strip. i also have a on off switch mounted under my seat so i can turn them on and off. when you buy your led's just make sure that they hook up to a 12v system. the first set i bought had 6 or 8 all wired together and i had to cut them apart to mount them so i could run the wire. when i rewired them they would no longer work. it changed the resistance and blew them. if they are for a 12v system they have a resister wired right to the light and you can hook them right up to the battery with out having to worry about blowing them.
i will take pics today when i get home from work.
