I run the polyurethane gun better known as the line-X gun at my work. It looks like these guys did a good job. Line-X generally goes on pretty thick, your can get a 1/4 inch real fast, and the materials are real heavy. It looks great but I would say you added a few pounds of weight to your bike, do you notice a difference?

The Line-X filled in the cheese grater holes nicely. Line-X can get thick fast but my guys are good. They did a thin coat. The parts do weigh more but not much. Totally acceptable in my opinion.
Yes, that is a "catch can" you see in the pictures. I have the FAST intake system so the breather had to be rerouted.

Well it looks like most of the peeps looking at this are the ones that bought the City-X.....maybe Buell should add this option.

Kybueller,

Your local Line-X dealer is the place to go. I looked at the total CF package at about $1100. Line-X $185. Some here have paid less! Go for it!

Has anybody considered doing Rhino lining, or Line-X to their rims?

Seems like a most unique idea indeed.

Ejiii,
Sorry to highjack the thread, but I was wondering how you like the FAST System? Does it match up well with the Drummer & Race ECM? Thinking about doing this setup myself.

Ejiii - I looked through the Line-X websites, and it would seem that the only color available is black. From your description of the lining as armor, it would be nice to have this layer in another color, say a dark red or blue. Does anyone know if there are other color's available? I know that Odie mentioned something about "what color..."

JandJ, I also did Line-x on my bike a month or so ago. Did a lot of research and polls on people who'd used Line-x and Rhino-liner, almost hands down, everyone seemed to favor the line-x. Rhino liner says they have other and custom colors they can do, but I've heard over and over that the colors fade easily. Now there are SOME line-x dealers that will do colors, mine only would do black, he also said the colors fade badly and he won't use them. If you're keeping it covered all the time I'm thinking it might not be an issue. They also have a clear coat that goes over the liner. I like my black, I can accessorize with it..lol..it's a girl thing. Good luck, let us know your outcome!

Madsx,

The FAST system kicks butt! I had the open race air cleaner set up and there is no comparison in performance. Well worth the money in my opinion. The bike always ran good but it came alive with the FAST system. I have the Drummer and race ECM as well.

I was quoted an additional $200 for a color other than black. They claimed labor to unload the gun/lines, clean said lines before and after spray. So maybe $300 total. NUTS

Line-x on my Buell Race (rust) can mightn't be a bad idea.
