Guys, and maybe a few Gals

I know it is that time of the year...COLD in most parts of the northern hemisphere, and we don't always get to ride our bikes as much as we want...maybe even put them into winter storage.

Here is a website that has a lot of stuff on batteries. Hope you find it interesting:

Also, I can personally attest to having battery tenders. If you look at my profile you will find I am overseas, and I have bikes scattered all around the globe, ha ha! I had put the battery to one of my bikes back in the States on a tender last year while I was home on leave, and this year when I was home for the holidays I was able to crank the bike with very little urging after I had put the battery back in the bike. Conversely, I had a Sporty sitting for about 2 months back here in Korea, and when I got back here the battery would not start the bike...my Buell cranked right off though, but had only been setting for about a month while I was home. I also attribute the quick starting on the Buell to the fuel injection, whereas the Sporty has a carburetor.

Hope this helps someone...

Racin' the wind and chasin' the sun...Cyko Bob
