i have the streetfighter seat, daves has a pic of above...excellent, esp for the $$. gives you another inch of height which translates to more leg room...

I love it that daves takes time to do work (check out the badweb) while he is in the airport. His attention to customers always impresses, but never surprises anyone.

Is it any softer than the stock? Seem like a great price.

I've also been considering this upgrade on my 12R..
Any thoughts on the pillion seat that goes with it?

Am i reading right that this seat will give the 12R 1 inch more seat height? Im 6'4 and a little worried about longish rides but this might help a little. if so will you deliver to another dealership? thats where my bike is stored Daves? although i guess you could send it to my house and it will be there when i get home.

I have the pillion. I don't have any info on comfort, but the cowl still
fits over it and the embroidery looks really good.

The cowl does NOT fit over the touring pillion.

But you can leave the cowl on the original seat and swap between the two in seconds.

It is a worthy upgrade for anyone doing any two up riding.

Still no Electra Glide of course, but a huge improvement (I have both).

I have the "custom" pillion

that is what I thought was being referenced.
It has the firebolt logo embroidered in the back.

I have the touring pillion too. I like it because of it's height. It creates a stop behind the riders seat. The wife and kids like it much better than the stock seat.

The custom riders seat does add some height, and add the "S" rider pegs and you'll gain a couple of inches of leg room.

I tried the custom seat, but was not a big fan so I went back to stock. The seat does give some extra legroom, and at 6 ft 5 I needed that, but I felt like I was perched in top of the bike, and I didn't like that. It seemed to go against the whole Mass Centralization concept.

Also, if you are a tinkerer like me, putting the seat on and off gets to be a pain. The stock seat is easy to fold the corners up to get to the attachment screws, but with this you have a lot of extra padding you have to bend out of the way.

Sportriderwv, I'm 6'2" at 240 lbs and couldn't ride my Firebolt for more than an hour without my butt starting on fire. Since the Buell custom seat swap all I notice now is that my arms get tired from all the twisty turns I ride thru. It's a great improvement for me and a much better price than the Corbin.

Chiefiron...just my 2 cents...I'm 6'4", bout 190lbs, and I ride my 9R (with stock seat) for many hours with no discomfort at all. I find, like with most things (for me), my own fitness is a bigger factor than anything on the bike
