To those who upgrade :
Did you change the rear master cylinder and brake line ?
Is there enough clearance between belt and brake line even when ridding with a passenger ?

Thanks for your coop

Before you upgrade, you might want to consider a few points.

1. The new version of the 03 belt is greatly improved.
2. The original rear sprocket is lighter, smaller and better looking.

Out of an excess of caution, I installed a new belt after 7500 miles on the new model belt:the old one was absolutely like new.

I would just get a new belt, some chrome bolts for the old rear sprocket , and move out smartly, with the money in the bank!

I did the upgrade and did not change the rear Master Cylinder and line. On the side stand I measured 1.8" between the top of the belt and the bottom of the brake line...I had a buddy sit on the bike and bounce a bit on the bike...I never got less than 1" of a gap so I felt pretty safe running it the way it was. I have a small piece of foam wrapped around the hard line above the belt to see if it hit and nothing so far. It has been about 4000 miles of all kinds of riding with no problems. Some things to consider:

1. I am running the Woodcraft Rearsets but the location of the Master Cylinder was in about the same location.

2. I don't run a passenger.
