Hi , i'm from Italy. Last year i changed on my xb12s the original Buell instrument module with a Stack tachometer/odometer . All the wiring system was modified and the result is that.  I like it but it's incomplete because i don't understand which kind of electrical signal is send out by the "low fuel sensor" so the "low fuel indicator" is missed. It will take some research, but it should not be terribly difficult to find which wire comes from the fuel level sensor and attach a light to it. My Uncle has my manuals at the moment or I'd look it up for you. Someone here should have access to it though. | ||

From a post Dec 2004 (measurements from my 99X1): ...it is actually a NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficent) thermistor - the current through the lamp warms the thermistor if it is in air (submersed in gas it doesn't warm up), lowers it's resistance, and turns the lamp on. This makes replacement of the lamp with the exact same type important. This is also why the lamp starts to glow slightly before it comes on, it takes 2-3 minutes for it to warm up. The two I've tested measure ~1K ohm at room temperature, 1.8K ohms in ice water, and about 200 ohms in hot tap water.  | ||
