Has anyone put this product on their bike and done some track days/Racing ? I'd like some feed back is please. | ||

i have fork and shock springs. havnt done any track days yet.but i took it on a 1600 mile trip. i love it,but u will spend a lot of time dailing it in.what they have in the instructions is a good starting point.be sure to replace fork bushings.dealer didnt and my trip wasnt too fun.  | ||

We ran a Hyperpro shock on our XB when we raced in 2002/2003. This was a prototype unit built specially by Hyperpro UK for us, before they were commercially available. Because of this it was probably quite different to the one available now. Having said all that, the shock performed extremely well and, once we had the settings sorted, was a vast improvement over the stock item. We ran the bike without the fan fitted, and the shock wouldn't fit without modifying the fan mounting on a road bike, so make sure this has been addressed before buying one. For 2006 we will be running an AST shock on the race bike. This is another Dutch company that have built up a very good reputation for building superb rally car and race car suspension, and have now turned their attention to bikes. The build quality is better than any shocks that we have used before, including Hyperpro and Penske, and they are available with remote preload adjustment as well if required. Price is more than competitive with the opposition too at GBP470 (approx US$800) without the remote preload (GBP150 extra). The shock comes as standard with adjustment for high/low speed compression,rebound, ride height and stepless preload. Pics below show models with/without remote preload. Units can be anodised in a number of different finishes at customer request (extra cost though).   They also do a very snazzy tube frame shock   | ||
