FYI, saw this on eBay. Pretty cool. Somebody may be interested. Looks like the problems have been fixed.

My hardware is a mini bungie cord. Works great...

I wonder how the bungie cord would look under the City-X see-thru air box cover.

It would look like a mini bungie cord, but dark grey or blue.

My guess is you'd barely see it. The hooks are at the bottom where the stock lid "snaps" on either side, so they wouldn't be noticeable. My guess is that over time in the heat, I'd have to replace it, but who cares at like 97 cents a piece.

That looks identical to the American Sportbike kit I have. 'Cept my top cover is white. Well, it was white. Now it's whiteish. But hey, someone will buy that one on E-bay for $140! Al sells it for something like $65 and includes the breather relocation kit.

What's that whole thing worth at retail? About $150? I know the filter and the American Sport Bike Open Airbox Conversion lid/kit are about $65 each. What's the Buell airbox base plate worth? I'm guessing the whole piece on the ebay add is like 1/3 or less of retail. Might be a good deal.
