It may stick to the tank cover...if it doesn't, you could stick it on top of your helmet!

Just a thought,
TK
ps. ext. pocket maybe?

I figured it's designed to mount on a windshield and the signal would only come out from the bottom. I called sunpass and asked them about it and they said to just try it out. The guy told me that theres a back up that takes a photo of the license plate then that number is matched up to the account and the money is taken out if it that way.

I'm going to stick it on my air box cover to see if it works. If not i'll try the pocket.

If you have an exterior chest pocket on your jacket it should work fine in there

I have put one on the back side of my windshield on my XB9S. It will work through the plastic. I also have a friend that tosses his on his dash board of the car. They pretty much work anywhere I guess.

I have gone through without my pass and they will just run the plate and charge the account. It's the back up method if the pass was bad or if the battery has died.

You've got a 12R, so you can't do what I figure on doing (if I ever get a toll tag).

I'm thinking of putting it under my airbox cover, in the servo well of the inner airbox cover. (I have the 12 airbox in my 9R).

I use it in my tank bag. Only way I've found to make it work 90% of the time.

The nice thing about putting things into your pocket, is you can take em out. Just pop it into 3rd, pull it out(sunpass), cruise through at 25, stuff it back in your pocket...voila!

TK
ps. the backup method works too...my batt. went dead and I cruised through a bunch. No tickets, they billed my account. Nice

I'm with Cat on the Tank Bag suggestion. Just put it in the clear plastic pocket on top.

Sometimes that works Tommy, problem is it's more of a hassle and distracts you a bit much.

What you could do is put it in the trunk space on your R model and try it out. I know guys that do that and it works each time. If you had an S model maybe getting the small tail bag and putting it in there would work.

I use my tank bag for trips going down toll roads and that works well also.

Thanks for the suggestions. Just ran through it with it stuck on top of the air box cover and it worked. There was a delay for a second but I heard a beep and saw the blinking light. I could put it on the trunk but I want to know that it's working. Thanks again.

I had one at work that I borrowed for a trip to Oklahoma City. I borrowed our Human Resources chick's pike pass. I put it in my pocket and nothing happened, so on the way home I thought I would be smart and pull it out of my pocket when I was going to pass under the sensors. It worked great until I reached around to scratch my back, by the time I got to the next sensor, probably 75 miles away, it was gone. Needless to say the HR lady was none too happy, and we just used petty cash to pay the tolls the next time.
