Unless I missed something those are race fairings without the light holes, and they are not sharkskinz. I don't what they are, and maybe they are a great product, but I have used sharkskinz before and know what I am getting. They make good stuff. I have seen some pretty cheesy stuff at the track by other companies, and when you see something that is real cheap, and you know there are a lot of bad knock-offs out there, it makes me prefer to stick with the name brand.

Has anyone on this board used these particular fairings for the street?

My brother (diablomichael) and I both run the
sharkskinz ,sourced from Hal's, on the street.
If I remember right DaveS said he could get the
sharkskinz direct and kick in the badweb discount.

racingmotorcycles.com only sells the race version and hals has the street and race. I was wondering if you have to use the tall windscreen because of fit or does the stock one fit?

The tall windscreen just makes a bigger bubble
for the rider. The stock windscreen fits fine.

Trojan-
Have you guys set a price for that fairing stateside yet? I keep seeing it "advertised" but haven't found it on your website yet. Price for the full fairing shown on this post is $400- is yours comparable to that?

This particular fairing is only produced in pre-preg carbon fibre, which means it is extremely light but very expensive : ( You would be looking at around US$1000 for the race version, but look at the bright side, you'd be the only person in the whole of the USA who had one : )

Buellman,

I would recommend the Zerogravity sport touring screen. It gets more of you out of the breeze and that's why more racers use the sport touring than the "stock" profile.

Sure the lower stock profile might look more streamlined without a rider on the bike - but it just doesn't do the job as well

It will make a big difference in longer rides because you're not fighting the wind as much.

I loved the difference it made going from the stock, then the "double bubble" - and then finally the Sport Touring. I'm not going back.

I think he's referring to the wire spoke wheels on the black xb in the background with the race fairing.

ThePup,
Please post a how-to and post some pics after you've cut your light holes for the full fairing. I'd love to see it.

I have the race front CF fender from racingmotorcycles and I can vouch that it is top-notch!

The light holes in the sharkskin kit is recessed just like the stock fairing. I would think if you cut holes in a race fairing you might have to move your headlights forward so the lens or not inside the carbon fiber. I can take a picture of the headlights for you.

The stock windshield works fine, I had one on mine before I got the bigger shield. Like said above its just to get out of the wind.

I also have the carbon fiber race fender from Racingmotorcycles.com and I have to say its some of the best carbon fiber I have seen.

I believe that those are PVM wheels on the black bike, as that is what Buell-Bonn normally use. The black bike has a road version of the carbon fairing fitted.
