I've had good luck with these bags and I've had them on the Blast, the XB, and my wife's Ninja.

Hey Johnnylunchbox, this may be a stupid question, but when you order the bags they come as a pair right? The way that the site is worded, I'm worried about having to order each side seperatly. I have noticed the same wording on other sites too. It wouldn't make any sense to have to order seperatly. I may just be a little paranoid. You can beat me up if you like.  |

Not a stupid question at all. I've ordered parts before that didn't say one way or the other if the order included a pair of items or a single piece.
The bags do indeed come as a pair.
P.S. I had the XB up to 120 mph with those bags on and fully loaded, without a problem. |

Here are some better pics of the way the Cortech sport bags mount
 The front and rear are attached with quick-release buckles
 The front and rear hanging straps are velcro adjustable and can go over or under the pillion
 I prefer under. It looks cleaner
 The rear straps i have crossed behind the license plate and looped round the directionals |

Judging by the pics, the Cortechs mount similarly to the Nelson Rigg bags. The NR bags also have a layer of neoprene to protect the bike from abrasion. I mount the NR bags in the same manner. A strap on (strap on?...whatever) each passenger footpeg and the rear strap under the license plate just as bbstacker did it. The only real difference is the velcro straps that BBstacker puts under the pillion. I put them over, but I imagaine I might be able to put them under as well. I never thought about that. The other thing about the NR bags that I like, even if it is not applicable for the Buell, is the metallized heat resistant fabric on the bottom of the bags. It's very useful for when my wife uses the bags on her EX500.
Both are fine bags. However the NR's will run you about $60 shipped, and the Cortechs about $120 shipped. Also, the Cortechs are available in different colors. They both hold roughly the same volume of goods. |

The Cortech bags have the reflectorized heat-resistant panel on the bottom as well as the neoprene panels between the bags and bike.
The one thing I noticed with mounting the straps under the pillion is that the bags sit lower on the sides. While this doesn't affect comfort, function or handling, it does allow the bottoms of the bags to contact the passenger heel guards. I zip-tied a length of 1/4" i.d. vacuum hose over the top of the heel guards so the sharp edge wouldn't contact the bag bottom.
