Check my oil today at the gas station and it was just barely below the add line. I added oil to all is well. I know these motors consume oil. But my question is, I have only 510 miles on the motor. And I have been going by the book on the break in. Is this normal for a new engine to use this much oil? About every 500 miles and I will need around 10 ozs?
Oh and Yes I am about to do the 500 mile oil chang really soon.

Sounds about right to me. The manual says to check your oil everytime you get gas. It also says failure to do this may result in death or serious injury. Same with checking the air in your tires.

No matter what I do, how many times I fill it up (as many other people on this board), the oil will drop to the low line on the dip stick. It doesn't fall any lower, it stays there. So as long it doesn't go any lower than the low line I just leave it at that.

I am at 800 miles on my Uly, and the oil has dropped from right at the full mark to the halfway point. Since it is still well above the add line and I am taking it in for the 1k service Friday, I haven't added any. I had an 05 Blast that used almost 1/3 quart in the first 700 miles, but then basically stopped using any after that point. I talked with the service guys when the blast was using oil, and was told that any new bike will use some during break in, but to keep a close eye on it and see if usage dropped as miles increased. For now, I would keep adding oil, but watch to see if it uses less, if not, get it to the shop and have them check it.

Sgthigg,
That sounds normal, the engine is/was still in the break in period and not fully worn in. Mine did the same thing. My oil consumption varies now on how I ride. Commuting to work barely uses any if at all but if I spend the day winding it out in the canyons it will drop some.
