I just got the 03 xb and its leaking oil. Is this common for these bikes It looks like the connection at the line.

Actually it is the fittings. Mine did that the day that I got it. Pull the fittings and apply some Teflon tape and you are all set. One word of caution is to be careful about the torque. One of mine broke off when I reinstalled it,so that took a trip to the local hardware store to cure.

Guess what, I broke the fitting taking it off. What the hell is this crap made of???

Ouch! Luckily you can get them at most Home o Depot or Lowes. They are Brass as far as I know.

I had same exact problem. And it was the fittings. Altho mine was covered under warranty. Still took the dealer 2 weeks to get part and fixed the leak. They reapply teflon tape on just about all fittings in the area *just* to make sure nothing else leak.
