I am sure this topic has been covered but I am trying to fit new Jardine to my 12R. Need some help here with oil line and back bracket fitting. Instructions say I will have to remove 1 oil line, to remove the standard rear bracket I will need to remove 3 oil lines, second, back bracket states to face tab forward but if this is done I will have to re-route oil lines. What am I doing wrong?

You do not have to remove 3 oil lines. You should only have to remove the oil line closest to the swingarm, right next to the rear of the muffler. Then you should be able to wiggle the rear muffler bracket off.

Not sure about the tab, but I can get pic's of mine for you.

Thanks for the pics, interestingly I have 3 oil lines from my swing arm which is where my confusion began

My X had three lines that I had to remove. Took the back wheel off and it made the job a lot easier.

Yeah those pics are on a Uly, which the revision changed the lines. You will have to remove all three of them on an XB9/XB12.

I just took a sawsall to the brace so that I didn't have to remove the lines.

Did you fit the mounting bracket okay? Did you face the tab towards the front wheel or back wheel. The sawsall idea had crossed my mind as well.
