For the paint and finish experts. Has anyone tried to apply a high gloss clearcoat finish over the light gray swingarm and side frame on a XB9S?
If I were to do this, in your opinion, would it give it a nice shine?

Since the frame is powder coated, if you want to clear it, you must clean it carefully with a good degreaser/cleaner and apply an adhesion promoter like Dupont 222 before the clear.

But the clear coat will be less resistant than the powder coat and will need to be buff regularly where your legs will rub to keep the gloss.
