Had the opportunity to test ride an '06 XB12Ss tonight at the local dealer and man, talk about a different type of bike...in a good way though. I noticed the few corners I had to play with were comparable to the hot knife and butter scenario. Easy. Two questions for you. 1: once you have leveled out for speed, meaning you are cruising down the road at a consistant mph, where do you keep the revs at? I ask because I'm used to wringing out Jap bikes and this was so different. 2: I don't do stunts, but I am curious at what point you experience front wheel lift. If I were cruising at 10 mph and just cracked it open to 5Krpm would it go over backwards or damn near? I obviously wasn't going to test it on somebody else's bike so I am interested to hear from some people that play around on their bikes.

P.S. - I always do a lot of research before I buy most big items and this board has been extremely helpful. I still yearn a bit for my Duc but Buells and their riders have really made me look hard at a bike I might never have considered.

Thanks again for the info...

I have an XB9S and usually run about 4grand.

Again on a 9, if I'm in first and get to 4grand and wack the throttle open up she comes...fast.
It's easier on a 12.

Back when the XB9R first came out I read an article about it and decided to look into one. I found the BadWeB, things haven't been the same since.
I've had a tremendous amount of fun since I found Buell and the BadWeB. You'll not find a more fun bike or a group of people like BadWeBbers or Buellers.
The comrodery is second to none, it's half the experience.
