yea you can, if you are going to go to the trouble of cutting it open to remove the value and put it back togather it might be more worth wild to just get a drummer, Kevin has put alot of research into the Re-construction and his numbers prove it.

Most of the aftermarket pipes do not use the valve including the Drummer and Drummer SS as well the others.

Do you mean, can you remove the servo motor for the valve located under the airbox?

The answer to this depends upon wether you have the stock or race kit ECM fitted.
If you have the race ECM then you can remove the whole thing no problems.
If you have the stock ECM then removing it will cause the engine warning light to illuminate. You would need to fit one of these exhaust valve emulators that plug in place of the servo and fool the system into thinking it is still there. These are cheap at around US$40.

So once I get the race ecm I can take that out of my airbox finally? I have the open aibox kit, and I was wondering how I can get that crap out of there.

That servo makes that stock exhaust *very* good. Pulling it will cost you performance, unless you put on an expensive aftermarket system, and even most of those will barely beat the stock configuration.
