Guys, i am working on a website www.dragbike.nl I am going to put there al the historie of the bike and would love to help people who are riding on Buell XB and would like to help those people with technical problems ore questions... let that be the site for all of you guys who would like to go to the dragstrip with the XB.. and let it be a inspiration to all of you XB riders.. The site is running but not finished but give it a month and all is up and running.. in english of course.

The reason to make this website is that i couldnt find worldwide any site who could help me when i started dragracing on the buell XB.

Nice swing arm. I thought about drag racing my xb but have some concerns with the wheelbase and traction. I may give it a shot in the spring.

What kind of ET's are you looking at with the black bike. I hope you are hitting the high 9 low 10 second zone somewhere, cause otherwise it looks a little overkill?

Consider making triangles instead of parallelograms for your swingarm lacing? Really just one more cross member on each side would likely make a big difference in swingarm bending stiffness.

You could also increase axial stiffness by welding some small members to tie the two sides together where they bend-in towards the swingarm bearings and oil tank area. Truss it out so to speak. Get rid of all bending in the rectangular tube. If you want a more precise stiffer suspension action that is. If not, no worries. : )

If you need a pic or two to see what I am suggesting, I can do that too. : )

lateral bracing
Lateral Bracing to Increase Axial (fore-aft) Stiffness

Beam-Truss Lacing
Beam-Truss Shear Lacing to Significantly Increase Bending Stiffness

Fun stuff.

If lateral stiffness is an issue, you could also add a small diagonally oriented cross member running as follows...

Lateral Bracing
Lateral Bracing for Improved Side-to-Side Stifness

Guys,

I have a lot of questions about the price of the swingarm.. I will help you if you like and spoke to the builder.. The only way to get the price down, is to buy 5 swingarms in one time and ship it to one adress.. so give it a taught

The current problem with the swingarm are the sleefes.. This winter we will make mods to the current swingarm. I tested it 2 years now and would love to go shorter, so we will make the sleefes and the setup different to make a shorter wheelbase possible
