Does anyone know of a camcorder mount for an XB12R? I have a Sony Handycam and was wanting to mount it on the bike to get some videos. Any suggestions?

-you could go to a local pro camera store and look at the new Fig Clamp,it's small and funtional. Also a Super Clamp w/short stud and Bogen camera platform is a versatile solution. If your local shop does'nt carry pro grip equipment then check out
pashnit.com/more/cameramount.htm -scroll down and check out the links.Everything from remote lipstick cams to tank mount hardware.

Heres one from RAM. Got it from another Badwebber. Right now it is on the mirror mount but it also come with hardware for attaching to the mirror at the bar mount. Havent had time to road test it yet due to the month of rain in N.E.

waiting to see someone do a scenic motorcycle HELMET CAM vid - leave the machinery in your tankbag and get a little wearable video camera you can mount anywhere.

Will post video link once my helmet cam arrives... Planning on mounting it on the front fender to get a real good look at the road instead of where I'm looking. Stay tuned.

I was thinking about doing a camera mount off of one of the passenger pegs, it would be an awsome perspective when u were going into a turn, really see how close your pegs are getting

As soon as I get my new digital camera going I'll post a pic of the mount I use for a radar detector on my xb12r. It is a radarbusters.com mount for a ZX9 Kawasaki (I'm pretty sure). I have it threaded on the left mirror stud (the rear one). It has an arm that sticks up from that and a plate on top with velcro and screw holes. As long as the camera is light it would probably work well and it's around $80 as I recall. Really well built with swivel joints and black anodizing.

does anyone have a passenger peg mount that they would be willing to part with? If I could find one cheep I was goin to do it all as a seperate mount if not I'll make one so it would be like swaping out a just a peg and use my mount.

It's more or less a kid's toy. Don't get too excited over it. :-)

The CVS "disposable" camcorder is 30 frames per second at VHS quality, 20 minutes video and audio.

If you dismantled the case and wired it up to a regulated 5v supply (just take it right off the ECM feed if you don't want a regulator), you are looking at a package about 1.25" x 2.25" x .5".

If I could figure out a good and easy way to make things weather proof, I am seriously tempted to hard wire one into my 9sx somewhere with a button and LED up with the controls. Maybe make my flash to pass switch toggle the camera on and off, with a little LED to indicate "recording".

Move quick, it won't be long before Pure Digital (the makers) works out a better lockout for them. The parts are there, they just blew the implementation twice now and left the camera open for re-deployment.
