I recently ordered and installed this tail piece from Trojan Adrenaline out of UK. My only complaint is that it only comes in this funky gold color that doesnt match the bike at all. it has to be painted. other than that it looks awesome. The tiny Kellerman tail lights are pretty sick too. Please tell me your thoughts.

Got mine from Odie at Special O.P.S. It was primer so I painted the subframe and tail section to match.

Jersey....post pics when done.

Black - will do. Kevin got it today with a piece of my chin spoiler so he can match the color. I opted to use the stock signals, so I machined flats on the front sides of what's left of the tail.

I think I'm obviously in the minority here as I actually like the stock tail piece. Mines European - as in uncut.

Sorry, that was bad.

Boisebuelly,
If you haven't started painting already..don't! Drop me a line first as it seems you have got an XB12 tail and not the XB9 one (hence the difference in colour). I don't know if the part number on the box was wrong or something but we can work out getting you the right one. They are available in 3 different colours - dark silver (XB9), light silver-gold (XB12) and black XB9SX).

Trojan-

My bike is a XB12. I couldnt figure out why they would make a silver gold piece that doesnt match the bike at all? If the dark silver piece will fit my XB12 I would rather have that piece. How can we go about making the switch? Suggestion: You could send me the new piece and when I install it I can send you the Gold piece? It took me 30 days to get the original piece, so if we do it this way, im not without a bike for another month?

I really appreciate you making this offer. You are truely a reputable business man.

James

Hey guys - I like the look of the stubbed tails but what happens in the rain/wet conditions? It's tough to look cool when you are getting a shower of muddy water

I don't often ride in the rain, but sometimes the weather changes when I'm at work or something. The spaghetti strainer is bad enough, and I've thought of plugging the holes somehow. Are the short tails a new kind of shower head, or is it not too bad?

Perry, Its not the best. Picture running into your own rooster tail. In heavy water it will sling it up over your head and you get to run into it. I don't mind getting wet as trade off for a cooler looking tail piece. It doesn't happen that often.
