Two things are in the way. One, locating a Black XB12R and two, negotiating the price. I was on Cycletrader.com and saw a dealership in Ocala, FL selling them for $8,995. I requested a quote. However, my local dealership where I bought my V-Rod said they won't get a Black one until January. They do have a Red one, but with the gold rims its a bit much.

So after playing on the Buell site I came up with options I think I'd want installed. I'd like comments from anyone who has the options I want to get. What you like, what you don't like.

Here is the list.
Item Cost Part number
Diamond Highlighted Sprocket(looks cool) $89.95 40020-03Y
Pro Series Race Kit $654.95 82004-03Y
Air Cleaner $64.95 29388-02YA
Air Box Cover $29.95 91212-04Y
Firebolt Seat $149.95 52319-02Y
Tail Bag $69.95 91210-04Y
Frame Pucks $39.95 93001-03Y
CF Upper Belt guard (Looks Cool) $99.95 34006-03Y
Foot Peg Kit (1" more room) $25.60 N0006.1AD

Welcome, The air filter comes with the race kit. There are a couple dealer sponsors on this site that I'm sure will deal with you...John

Pop,
where are you located...i just bought a new black xb12r and I absolutely love it...i am still working my way through the "break-in" period so i can't wait to really get on it and feel the torque and hp it has up in the higher revs.
I live in VA and I drove down to Tilley's in N.C.(find their info in the sponsor section here)because they offered me such a great deal over the phone...I talked to Ocala as well just to see what the deal was and they have a $595 processing fee that they add on so i ended up getting a better deal by buying from Tilley's. They also offer ten percent off on parts and accessories.

Xbrad9r,

I live on Oxon Hill, MD and work in DC. I'm trying to work with Ft. Washington Harley where I bought my V-Rod in hopes to get a good deal. They have been great to me since I bought the V-Rod 3 years ago and I want to go with them. But if they are not trying to deal, I'll go someplace else. Money talks and BS walks. Who at Tilley did you talk to? The 10% off is pretty good on parts.

Thanks for the info.

Pop,
I think we already emailed back and forth about one for you.

I just checked HDnet and there are only about 6 black XB12Rs in the whole country.

I think I can get a red one and change the plastics to black for you.

I do a 10% discount all the time to members of Badweb

If you purchase a bike from me you would get 15% off parts for the first year.

Daves, we did exchange e-mails but I thought you were on vacation.

I'm shopping around now for the best deal. Starting close to home then branching out. I think it would get counter productive if I have to pay more just to ship the bike back to Maryland. NC is about 6 hours from me, and I can do that in a weekend. But I am keeping my options open.

Is that 10% discount on the list price of the XB12R and 15% on the parts? What would be the cost to ship it to 20745?

Thanks Dave!!!!

The Airbox cover goes over the front of the airbox but it has a pouch in the front were you can put money in for tolls. It also protects the cover from scratches when you lean into the bike.
