Just returned from Cleveland, Ohio to Atlanta, Georgia with a PERFECT white XB9R. Most happy.

Now, I've got to hear that exhaust. Gonna do the D&D and open up the airbox -- initially.

Two Guzzis -- a Duck -- and FINALLY -- a Firebolt.

It is the best-looking, best thought-out motorcycle on the planet -- and I'm honored to be among you.

Could write more, but I'd rather go to the garage and GAZE...

Rubdoggy --

I emailed Kevin @ Drummer and he stated that his exhausts were created for POWER -- not noise.

I LIKE power AND noise -- so I'll pay the extra bucks for the D&D.

To each his own...

I sure wish I could get an up close sound comparison. As it is I'm one of two XB's in Santa Barbara that I know of and the only XBR.

Like Volkwakonfreaky...I am less than 100 miles north of you...9R with a (regular) Drummer. I have to tell you the performance enhancement this pipe has made continues to amaze me. I think it is pretty friking loud when on the gas yet reasonable at idle and decel.

Anyways...I was planning a ride down to SB tommorrow (Oct. 19) in the afternoon just to get out on the bike for a somewhat long ride...PM me in the morning where you work and I will see if I can drop by.

My SX has a D&D. The coolest thing is to be cruising along at about 5000 rpm with a Drummerized Buell next to you. Killer harmony!

I'm very pleased with the Special OPS pipe. Thanks Odie!

If I were to add a drummer to my XB9R, would I need to change out all of the other components that were added to the bike with the race kit?

Also, what kind of performance increase can I expect to see compared to the race kit?

Guzzi - Congratulations!

There is much on this site about performance enhancements (exhaust war, 12 Airbox on the 9, ECM, etc...).

Also, I would recommend you consider getting the Service and Parts Manual,if you haven't already. I got mine thru Daves.

Best purchase I have made. There is a lot of unique instructions for even the little things like changing tires.

In my opinion there have been some people who had problems that could have been avoided had they been familiar, or made sure the guy working on their bike was familiar with it.

I met up with good 'ol LOVEMATT and ye haw! That's a nice sounding pipe! He is quite the knowledge vault himself too. A very nice bike I must say, with all the trimmings! Wow, you can really ad some goodies to these bikes. After seeing his bike mine feels naked.

Thanks Matt, you rock the Buell!
