I intend to run my 9R on the track and am looking for recommendations for performance front brake pads. When making suggestions I'm interested in learning if you use the suggested pads on the track or the street.

Thanks Buellrcr.

Do you run the ZTL brake on your Race bike?

Lyndall Racing Carbon Kevlar. Awesome on both street and track. Very progressive and cleans up the blue spots on the front rotor (glazing).

i use the Lyndall racing gold pads. great track and street pad. Good braking power even when they are cold. I got the best price by buying straight from Lyndall.

I use the stock pads, track days and street. I don't seem to have any problems with them.

Lets see, on the race bike we have used lyndall gold on the race bike, (felt a little wooden but had pretty good grip), factory, (wear very quickly on the track 2 sets wore out in <4 races), and dunlopad (favorite so far progressive with good feel and grip ).

I currently have EBC HH pads on my street bike. No problems with street use. EBC is the best/most consistent brand in my experience with a wide variety of motorcycles. I have not had trouble with excessive wear, or brake dust that I have heard others complain about.

We are yet to try tuff-stop brake pads (sold by dennis kirk) but have them on hand. We have not tried vesrah pads because of previous poor performance on our previous race bike, 03 sv650s.

All of these are front brake pads, we have yet to wear out a single set of rear pads between 3 xbr's. 1 xb12r (race bike) and 2 xb9r (street bikes)
