Took the bike to the strip today best time i was able to pull was a 12.51 @ 109.78mph 60' was 1.98 reaction time was .247 this was my best run. All my runs however were ranged from 12.51-12.68. I took it easy on the bike and couldn't shift really fast so im sure theres a few tenths I can shave here and there. I don't see how cycleworld pulled off a 11.7 in the XB9R because im almost a second off from theres. My buddy has a 2000 Honda CBR929 killed him in the 60' every time but after that he wized on by me his best was a 11.7 @ 127mph.

On a dyno I can run 10.7 at 125, I was going to run at the annual Snap On event in Commerce GA but the girlfriend broke her femur, fibula, and ankle and did not want to hang out at the drags all day. I can see running about an 11.4 on the strip.

Dan, most mags tend to use wheelie bars and go all out on the strip. I'm certain the CBR929 in the mags probably does somewhere in the 10 second range. So, 12.5 sounds about right on the 9R.

If I'm not mistaken, most mags also correct to standard conditions.

Launching a bike all-out is not for the faint of heart. It is a real skill. That is one reason I laugh when some guys think their "10 second" bike can easily whip a Corvette or built muscle car. Especially given less-than-perfect road conditions, and that most of the newer cars have some sort of traction control.

12.51 is better than I could do on my 9S.

Good luck,
Bill

Especially given less-than-perfect road conditions, and that most of the newer cars have some sort of traction control.

Keep in mind, most cars on the street tend to use street tires. So traction for them WILL be a problem even with traction control. It evens out in the end.

Take it from someone who has ridden with Shazam on various occasions. His bike will roll on wheelies at 75mph, and top out some where higher than 160mph. Oh yeah did I mention it is louder than an F-16!!!!!!!!!1

Just for the record... I went 12.28 @ 107 on my bone stock XB9S, well it's not stock, it has a little luggage rack on it : ) That was my best, I was doing mostly 12.4's and 12.5's.

Interesting to note that back in 1998-1999, Brian and Richard Nallin were running in the 10's on basically a stock 1997 S1W. They were using wheelie bars though. Pretty sure their world record still stands. Brian can set you up with an even better performance package via Revolution Performance if you think that you can handle it.

Blake, when I find or make some wheelie bars I'll post up for you a ten, might even before then....

As for the Rev Perf. plug.....

Brian Nallin hand a hand in this project when it started. He will never see another dollar of mine. He's an affable guy and very talented, but as a first hand customer of his I was very dissapointed(my opinion). I won't recommend him. I know other's (yourself included) have had differing experiences.

where are his(or anyone else's) dyno sheets for an INJECTED xb?

"Brian can set you up with an even better performance package"

Believe it when I see it.

As it stands NRHS did the motor work and I am very happy with it.

You've seen it, The Iowa boys have seen it, the Cali boys have seen it. The frigging thing is a hoot to ride. nuff said.}
