I just picked up a XB12Ss yesterday. Based on my 130 miles of experience with it so far it's looking like I made a great choice.

Anyway, I guess that some of the fasteners on it are English & some are metric. I have lots of metric tools, but what would you recommend I get as far as English wrenches & sockets? Are there only a couple of sizes, or should I just go ahead & get a set of wrenches & sockets?

Pick up an SAE set of allens (sockets, t-handles, wrenches). You'll need those. I would get a set of SAE wrenches and sockets myself, never know what you may need down the road.

#1 Get the service manual - The maintenance is easy to do, but you'll need the manual.

#2 Torque wrenches. Buy 2, ft/lbs and inch/lbs. Buell's are sensitive to torque specs. Its easy to cause damage by over-tightening bolts. For torque specs refer to #1.

don't forget a t-27 torx wrench a 1/4" drive socket version is especially nice to have on hand. Also a 7/8" allen wrench if you didn't get an adapter in your tool kit.
