Does anyone know if this will work? I really like the Lightning Long but want the option of a comfortable seat for a passenger. I want a flat seat, not something that pushes the passenger forward.
Thanks

Not without changing the tail section.

That's an idea, off to the parts book. Thanks.

I was wondering about a similar scenario. Putting a standard S tail section on my long. Problem is, the frames are different, and I don't think it would just be a swap of parts. I'd be interested to see what you find out.

I am in the process of converting the other way, and I think that to fit the Uly seat on the long you will have to change or adapt:

1. rear subframe. the Uly has holes in (where the tail section mounts) that are not present on the S. There are also some holes tapped in the SS subframe that are blank on the Uly and probably vice versa.
2. Plastic undertray
3. Battery box
4. Seat lock mounting plate (otherwise mounting holes don't line up).

Other than that it should be a simple bolt off/bolt on swap. The Uly plastic undertray is deeper than the SS one so there may be some slight clearance issues if you carry a passenger and luggage.

i have looked at this a lot!!!

i want the Uly rear on a Ss, with the R front fairing, as i have stated elsewhere; XB12SsXR!!!

the most difficult part is the way the rear pegs mount are completely different!

I'm looking at something similar.

I would like to put the Uly rear on my 12R.

Haven't had a chance to research this yet, but off the top of my head I figure I would need:
longer swingarm and belt
rear uly tail section
uly seat

What am I missing, what difficulties lie ahead?

"What am I missing"

The Uly or Ss frame.

Also the long swingarm is not a direct swap either.
