Hey guys,
I know this should go in the KV,but could not find how to post a new topic in there,I'm a newbie here so bear with me please.
So I hope I'm not pissing anyone off by post here.

I recently bought a 2003 XB9S w 3000mi on her
The bike awesome until I installed a Jardine RT1 muffler...then the problems started.I fired off the bike...backfiring and major hesitation when on the gas.Could not even make it around the block. The bike backfired and stalled out.I found the ignition fuse was blown,go it back home and looked over the bike for any shorts in the harness but did not see anything.Off to the stealership...I asked them to check the TPS while they were at it.They call me later and tell me the coil is bad....Replace the coil, new plugs, and reset TPS at the dealer.get back to my shop and do a few things and try to start the bike...NO GO,
the bike runs the exact same as before. The engine light stays on now also.
Anyone shed some light on this for me???
Really appreciate any help
Thanks
Chris

I had engine light troubles, and someone (sorry can't remember the genius's name) point me to examine the wiring harness the runs to the ECM, where it takes a hard turn around the negative battery terminal. It had actually worn a hole in the sheilding and I had a wiring shorting out on the battery. Now mine wasn't running bad, just the light was on. Did you do anything else to the bike other than the pipe. TFI maybe? Hope this helps
