I received the select seat from Daves, he's the man. Very comfy. Will go well with Cortech sportbag system for a nice weekend outing. Do not look for passenger comfort as there is none. Initial build quality is very good, will let you know after a few thousand miles if it holds up. | ||

for you guys that now have a few miles on the Select Seat, I'd like to re-ask my concern before ordering one.....do you feel that it would raise the riding height for a vertically-disadvantaged rider on an SX ? | ||

It will be lower than the City X seat. I just put one on a showroom bike. WOW! Nice seat. It is the same height as the stock Lightning seat. Way better. I have one left! | ||

Emscityx....I'm 5'9" and have a XB9SL. I have been running a XB12S stock seat. I would have to say that it slightly higher than stock but lower than the Cityx seat. By the way, the Select Seat is Heavenly. Best money I have spent on a mod yet. | ||

What daves says, it does not make the sitting position higher, unless you were using a low seat. It is lower than stock CityX, same height as 2003 XB9S stock. | ||

The Select seat is the 3rd one I've tried. The stock SX seat was plenty soft, but too high and flat. The Low seat's shape was perfect, but too hard and almost too low. The Select seat is just right! Thanks Dave! | ||
