Well my XB9R left me stranded because the stupid kickstand switch wouldn't engage. The bike kept thinking the kickstand was down everytime I went to take off. Luckly I knew it was the kickstand sensor and cut the harness and jumped it myself to get home. How much are these and are they fairly simple to change? I can't believe such a simple thing can leave you stranded...unbeliveable!

Leave it the way it is and toss the switch. You'll never have to worry about it again! : )

Happens a lot on every brand that has one. Bad place for a switch that close to the ground. Thats why the new Buells are designed to kick the stand up if dragged and dont have the switch.

I'd leave it bypassed too, just be sure to always put the stand up first thing.
