hi just had race chip ecu fitted after 1200 miles already had buell race can on , just noticed blue smoke out of exhaust when rev'ed up hard after idling, just done a 20 mile road at 80 +. fan was running as well . left to idle again for a few seconds and again little lumpy and more blue smoke, just a puff , is this normal for this motors . black smoke fuell , blue is oil?

Did you reset the TPS? It is required when the ECU is changed out.

You don't mean revved up past about 3200 w/ no load do you?

You do need to have the TPS reset when installing an ECM. You'll also need to run the bike for a few minutes at 3500 (preferably 4th or 5th gear) to let the AFV settle.

If it's none of that...

Maybe it's pulling oil through the valve guides?

Hi mi combat,tps set at dealers , just been out for a thrash 7 miles . no blue smoke . the reason could be that it was a hot day rode 120 miles back from dealers 4500 revs+ Motor running for a hour + only stopping for fuel ,thats when i noticed blue smoke? Hopefully.

Blue smoke is from oil burning. Could of just been oil getting in the air box from the extended high rpm riding.
