Anyone out there change to after market rear sets? A buddy of mine has the woodcraft ones and likes them. Have seen ones from Sato and also ones on Trojan. The Woodcraft's are $300 while the others I have seen are $600+. Anyone have the more expensive ones and think they are worth the $? If they shift better or have better placement I have no problem spending the extra $. BTW I am 6'4", so I am looking to get a lower further back foot position as well as have solid mount to protect the bike in case of it going down... | ||

I have the Woodcrafts and they are pretty good quality...solid feeling to them compared to stock and with the reduced throw on the shifter side it shifts a bit better as it moves slower. Did have to cut a small amount off the tip of the rear brake caliper bolt that attaches to the lever(about 1/8 inch) but could return to stock if need be. I am happy with them... I got a good deal on some black Sato rearsets for my SX. If you search, you can pick up a set for about $450. They are multi-adjustable and the brake and shifter pivot in bearings. Shifting is a lot more precise with no slop. | ||

I have the Sato's from Al @ American Sport Bike. Awesome fit and finish. I posted pics here previously and will search/update this post w/the URL. Chris | ||
