I went to Manchester HD/Buell today for oil & stuff for an oil change and clutch cable replacement. They had 4 Buells on the floor... 2 Blasts, 1 - '05 Lightning and 1 - '06 Lightning. I had a chance to compare the 2 Lightnings visually. '06 definitely has a bigger seat and the bike is bigger and looks bigger too. Mainly small detail changes other than the lengthier frame/swingarm/seat... but when you sit on the bike, the back-end feels bigger. For those of us with bigger seat needs, this will "fit" the bill. Bigger, better Buells. Has a nice ring to it. I was hoping to see a Uly, but they had none. Not surprising since they are primarily a Harley dealer that happens to sell Buell's. Their Pegasis award winning days are far behind them... but, at least I they have "some" parts for my Buells in stock. | ||

I was at the Ann Arbor HD/Buell dealer last weekend. They had a Uly and a XB12Ss. Man, that Uly is TALL. They also had quite a few '05 Firebolts and '05 Lightnings in the back showroom as well. Apparently they are sticking with Buell. However, they don't have any apparel or parts. |
