Ok. So i'm going down the hwy and my XB9R's power cuts off for a half second, then turns itself back on. This happened twice that day...same hwy. But a few weeks before that, I was leaving a friends house and the bike shut down completely. I've had my buell for a year and had a new battery put in two months ago. Has this ever happened to anyone else. All help is greatly appreciated!!!! VERY nervous about doing anymore hwy riding before I get this fixed. | ||

Never heard of it, do the gauges go through their power up routine (zero to max and back again) when you lose power? Does the clock reset? (Message edited by opto on August 22, 2005) | ||

Since you mention new battery; check all battery and ground strap connections. Clean, inspect, dielectric grease, re-install. Henrik | ||

Start with the battery terminals, make sure they are clean and tight. | ||

Wire coming off the TPS could be rubbing against the inside of the frame. (happened to me) Look under the inner airbox cover to the right of the throttle body. Rubbing/shorting wires will leave a black mark on the frame. | ||
