Do you mean LED? Did you try reversing the wires first. What brand of signals are they? I recently installed some Motraxx LED signals and if I remember correctly, had the same problem until I reversed the wires. No problems now. When I was in the Cycle Gear store, I saw something that you are describing to make some signals adapt properly.

If they dont light up at all at first reverse the wires. LED signals will blink faster at first because they have less resistance then a normal light bulb. less resistance = more current so the flasher heats up faster and blinks quicker. what you need to fix this is a load equalizing resister. you will prolly be able to find this where you got your signals (Holy hell i learned something in collage )

yea you can, if you take an ohm meter and measure the resistance of the light bulb that was in there and get the same resistance resister and add it inline with the LED signal it will work. i like the load equaliser personaly B/c you dont have to worry about it getting too hot or melting

Most Cycle dealers with a good parts areas will have in-line resistors to take care of your problem.

No no no...You can do it with resistors, but that just wastes energy, generates heat, and this is much better:

Low current flasher
flasher

It is pin for pin compatible, just plug it in.

I posted pretty detailed calculations on how to figure buy the radio shack parts to do this a while back.

My ultimate conclusion? Do what Al said above : )
