Sad story...Friends of my wife and I were at our house on Monday night to watch preseason football. Upon arriving home later that night they had a startling message from a hospital in Canada. The father of our friend Danielle was riding with a group of Harley Riders up through Canada on a rally. He had an accident and was in a coma. The details were sketchy because they didn't want to give out too much information over the phone, but what we did find out was horrible. He not only was in a coma, he also literally broke every bone in his body according to the nurse. His spine is broken and his femur was sticking out through his leg and he had major head trama and that was just a few details. Also the nurse said the accident may have been caused by having a seizure because of his diabeties. Danielle was not in the mental state to give us much information and we didn't try to get more out of her but the situation doesn't look good. The nurse immediately told Danielle she needed to come and gave her flight information from PA. The last information my wife got from her yesterday was that he is still in critical condition and his status hasn't changed. Danielle wasn't able to get a flight to Sascatuwan Canada until Thursday morning and she was lucky to get that special medical flight. Anyway, if anybody on here happens to know more details please send me an email. I know many board members partake in these rallys and may know more then we do. I don't know Danielle's father but our prayers are with him and his family and our friends Danielle and Gary. Thanks. | ||
