I bought my 9s used and it only had one key. Has anyone tried to have a spare Buell key made? If so, where? |

I had the same problem when I bought my 9, luckily the key I got had the code on so I just sent the code to a guy on ebay and got 2 new keys cut to code for £14 |

My dealer told me they could find the code and have keys cut, going by the VIN number. |

I only had one key with the bike, but I went down to a key shop in town and he made me one on the spot. He just matched it up like a door key and started to cut. Works great. And cost about $5.00. Shawn |

I went into my local H-D / Buell shop a year ago, gave them my VIN number and showed ownership (registration). They ordered 2 from the factory for $9/each, got them in a couple days. |

That's odd about getting them at a local key shop. I went to both Home Depot and Lowes and was told because of it's shape, something about being cut on both sides, they didn't have the equipment to cut it. I went to the dealer and they ordered a set of keys, TWICE, using my VIN. Neither set worked and I ended up purchasing a new key set for $100 |

I gave up getting keys cut at Home Depot and Lowes, they have screwed up so many times. A good local lock shop can get it right. |

I dogged my dealer (when he only gave me one key) and they ordered be two more. He said they came in sets of two and there was no charge. |

Send me your VIN and I can get the keys for you. You have to buy 2, I think they are about 20.00 for the set. |
