i know that i can put 6gs into my bike and end up with awesome results, but what will that do to the reliability of the bike?

I would definately like to have some work done, but i also want to be able to ride my bike as much as i want for the next 5 years and not have it sitting having someone fixing it.

Mookie, Unless you are trying to impress a few guys at the local hangout spend the money on track time. You will get way more out of it than adding 20 horsepower. As it is my little stock xb9r just tore the pants off a few R-1's yesterday on the Ortega Hwy. Must be the track time (:
