Wd. like to know what cams, jugs, pistons that others have had excellent results with...also wonder if there is a Stroked flywheel set available??? so on and so on..Thanks in advance all..!!!!!!

You may want to look up a guy on here with the handle "Shazam". He's got the 1450 kit from Nallin Racing on his R with the force pipe and I'm tellin you it's like nothing else I've ever seen or heard! Even with the smaller sprocket on the rear he can't keep the front end down even in 3rd gear. It's pushin about 120rwh and 110 torque.

Ya just ask Shazam how he handed a TL1000 its azz all day on saturday, you should have seen the grin on his face while he told the story.

Oh ya his build up was from a XB9R so he has a short stroke stroker that sounds like a dragster.

Shazam's bike is actually mild for an 88" Buell, pulling a respectable 117 RWHP. It uses the XB12 crank, so it is not a short stroker as Thanses seems to think.

That doesn't sound like what Hogs is after to me. Sounds like Hogs is looking for another significant step up on the gnarly scale of Buell HP from what Shazam is running.

On the other end of the spectrum you have Pam Brown's Cycle-Rama X1 that makes 156 RWHP. Pretty sure they could provide something a bit less life-threatening that will meet your needs Hogs. Give them a call. Let the experts advise you on what components to use. They all need to work together and I doubt many here are up to speed on the latest state of the art stuff.

Also please give Brian Nallin a call at Revolution Performance.

Vallejo has a race winning XB9R with 1170cc kit from them and I know that Frank Ammerman (Torqued) is very happy with the 88" 130+ RWHP Buell that Brian Nallin and Alan Simons of NRHS put together for him years ago in Shreveport.

The main thing is, and please simply accept my profound wisdom in this, you absolutely MUST, no matter what, when you get it good and broken in, ... let me ride it. : D

Does the 88 kit change handling at all? I know with many bikes, especially four stroke dirt bikes, once you up the reciprocating mass it can affect how easy a bike turns or make it feel a little more sluggish in turning.

Hogs,
I bid on an XB9 engine on eBay over the weekend. I got snaked in the last few seconds. Actually I really didn't want to bid over $2000 for it anyway and it finally went for $2026.

If someone made me a decent offer, I might be interested in parting with my spare XB9 engine. Forewarned, it will need replacement cases ($782 from Daves) due to the busted swingarm mount on the camside case...and a replacement rear cylinder head. Pics can be provided easily enough...

Wycked, maybe, but the deal would have to make sense.
