Want to pull my rear wheel to replace tire. Does anybody know the size hex wrench I need for that axel bolt on my 2004 XB12R | ||

Check out the instructions on removing the rear wheel. The axle tool is in the toolkit supplied by buell under your rear seat. It takes a 7/8" socket one end goes in the axle, the other in the socket. I recommend a breaker bar. Just in case it's stuck a bit when you first go to remove it. | ||

If you have the supplied Buell tool or a home-made equivalent, you can use a standard 4-way lug wrench to turn it. Also, this is the same size (7/8"  as the preload on the front forks...pretty good thinking. Bill | ||

except for maybe a 10-speed easiest back tire i have ever removed,just did mine yesterday.....as for all those steps....forget it waste of time....leave the lower fairing on...leave the caliper bolted on...loosen the torx screws on the front belt cover....loosen pinch bolt....loosen axle.....remove belt tensioner....bam it's out......it's so easy....i mean like minutes....awesome engineering simplicity....thanks Erik | ||
