Just wanted to tell everybody on the board thanks. I've been lurking around here but haven't posted very much. I usually just search around and find the info I need. This board has answered so many questions without having to ask. Anyways, I got my Diablo's mounted today and must say my bike feels like a totally different animal. I was very skeptical about the posts I have looked at on here. I didn't think a set of tires could make that much of a difference but I was wrong. I must say I absolutely love them. The bike feels like it’s on a rail and glued to the ground. |

Diablo Strada's? EMS HGHM ? What did you throw $ for them? I know where to get em for $99.95 and $128.95 Fr. and Rr. respectively... |

One Buell those prices are awesome! Do they ship to Kansas City? I'll be in need of some new tires after another couple thousand miles. I'm ready to try this upgrade from the Dunlops. |

I'm ready for a different feel myself. My used xb9s came with a brand new set of Dunlops. They just don't feel right for the bike. I know this bike will handle so much better with a decent set of tires. Can't wait to wear out the Dunlops. I might go with Pirelli's, decisions, decisions. |

Olinxb12r, Yes. I buy Harley tires here too. Also denniskirk.com will beat any advertised price by a dollar. However the place I just ordered some D205's from is : http://www.mawonline.com I dealt with them before and w/ shipping you can generally still beat harley/buell dealer prices for the same tires. I ordered D205's from them today. I want the Pirelli Diablo Stradas too for XB9S which is 4600 miles old and the wear indicator is showing micrometers left of life and some dry rot cracking. The way I do it is this. By online, save over buell/harley dealer price and take wheels off, take to dealer and they charge me 35 a wheel to mount and balance. I know that's high just to mount and balance a tire but I figure it saves me from possibly tearing up my wheels and hands and I know at least that they are balanced by a high tech professional machine which is not cost effective to own myself. There are manual tire changer machines and balance stands out there for sale, but I just can't see going that route. Because I don't know how well they work, and if they do work they pay for themselves with a few tire changes. Good luck. http://www.mawonline.com (support non sponsors) |
